I thought I had this figured out. I want to change the text “Recent Posts” to “Current Classes”, and I thought I would open up showcase.php and change this bit of code:

    <h1 class="showcase-heading"><?php _e( 'Current Classes', 'twentyeleven' ); ?></h1>

I uploaded my new showcase.php to my child theme, but it didn’t change the text on my sidebar… Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

Aha! It finally dawned on me that I could probably change the text in the WordPress admin backend.

For anyone else who got stuck on this go to:
    Appearance > Widgets
And then Click on Recent Posts, change your title & save.

    Easy 🙂
