Cannot add links within post

    I am unable to create a link within a post. After entering the destination URL and title, and pressing “Update”, it only produces a message saying “The changes you made will be lost if you navigate away from this page”.

    I have tried to de-activate all plugins – no change. I have tried Chrome AND Firefox – no change.

    Any help would be welcome.

    Have you tried:

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress 3.4.1. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    And upgrade WordPress asap!
