Recently upgraded from 2.07 to 2.1. Before the upgrade I couldn't get comments to post to the blog. Since the upgrade I can't get comments to post or add new categories.
Funny thing - spammers can still get comments to post but not any of my legitimate readers can.
I've tried using IE6 and Firefox - neither works. I know I have Mac users also experiencing difficulties.
I've done the whole "sending referers" thing and it hasn't helped.
Any ideas?

Ok, I'm having this problem too, I assume since I upgraded, although I only now figured it out. Could it be related to this other problem which I'm having: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/107906?replies=4

Ok, my problem at least is fixed. Thanks to caynan for the answer here:

Basically, I had my url set up to display as http://domain.com but in my admin panel I had http://www.domain.com
Removing the 'www' solved the problem!

My comments won't post either...only with the default templates and one of my custom templates. It doesn't work for any of the others. It used to, but now it doesn't.

other threads have suggested and I can confirm that disabling javascript in firefox and then adding a category seems to work fine. once you add the category you can re-enable javascript.
