    Hi,

I’m relatively new to wordpress, and happily working away in a child theme based on Twenty eleven. I am not sure what the best approach is for my layouts and am hoping someone with more experience may be able to point me in the right direction?

I would like to have a three columns on the home page (1 left side bar, 1 right side bar and content between). On most other pages, I would like to have the same right side bar as the home page, and the left ‘side bar’ space to be filled with images relating to that page. On one page I would like no side bars at all.

Currently I have been able to:

    • implement 3 column layout site wide (Meaning I can’t get rid of the side bars on pages where I don’t want them, they tend to just go bellow the main content )
    • OR just have the main content with 1 side bar and use a div tag to put the images in a page specifc left column (which means I don’t have three columns on the home page, and it looks a bit weird because the heading is centred & above the left column but not the right side bar)
    • OR set up a page template to call different side bars but not really know how to implement this correctly

If someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
