Support » Fixing WordPress » Admin can’t do admin type stuff

  • I have tried as my normal username (which is set to an admin), and my actual admin username to delete or edit links from the blogroll. I have also attempted with both usernames (admin and my regular login which is set to admin) to create a new user, both return the message “You don’t have permission to do that.” This started out as a blogroll issue, not being able to delete or edit links, but I am not sure of the extent that this goes, since I cannot create new users now either. This all happened after an upgrade to 2.1.

    Any ideas?

    Heather

  • Deactivate all plugins – reactivate them one by one, testing in between.

That was among the first thing I tried. 🙁

Changing my account from admin to editor and then back to admin made it function. I would say this is a bug or a permissions issue, since as editor I was allowed to change my own status to mod, but it seems to be working all right for now. Looking forward to next version, hopefully that will fix it.
