Hi!
In the admin panel the subcategories looks ok, they are under their parent category but on the main page they are sorted like a normal category and not as a subcategory.
The parent category get also all the posts from the subcategories even if I did not tick that box.
Can anyone help me, thanks!

This is a theme specific issue. Some themes, like the default you are using, show the categories in the sidebar in a non-hierarchical way. Check out the template tag used in your sidebar to display the categories, and read about the parameters for it:

For the other question the answer is: this is how WP works, unfortunately.
There used to be a plugin for it, I just can't remember where you can find it...
