Feature request: Post expiration date

I use posts for news on a “regular” (as opposed to blog) site. It would be so lovely to have, in addition to the date that the post becomes published, an expiration date so the post could go to “expired” or just “draft.” Please, please!! Love WordPress – now using it exclusively for new sites I am building.
