    I know you name categories by doing this:
    <?php /* Template Name: CATEGORYNAME */ ?>

    However, doing so results in the name appearing as: “CATEGORYNAME */ ?>”

    This also results in modifying and re-formatting the THEME EDITOR page. Help?

  • No, that actually doesn’t name categories. That’s a header for a page template. That’s something different. See here for details.

    You name categories at Dashboard -> Manage -> Categories

    If you tell us speciifcally what you’re trying to do, we may be able to help.
