I’ve established a connection to my desired Facebook Page, and am able to post to it from my site. My only question is….

When I create a post from my site, and enable it to post on the FB page, the post on FB indicates…..’MySite’ has shared a link via wordpress.com.

Is there a means of having that blurb indicate that the post actually originated at MySite.com rather than WordPress.com?

    Thanks!

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I’ve seen a post or 2 that seemed not entirely dissimilar, but not exactly the same either.

What are you using for shortlinks? Your site’s shortlink function, or WP.me?

Appreciate the reply, Gestroud. But not sure I follow the question. Unless I’m missing something (which is a definite possibility), I don’t see where I have a choice between the site’s funtion of WP.me.

But just for sake of testing purposes, I did deactivate the WP.me module in JetPack, but that seems not to have any affect. The result remains as originally described.

Should Shortlink choices be expected to play a role here? I’ve been under the impression a shortlink isn’t (can’t be?) created until a post is actually published.(?) Which, to my way of thinking would mean it wouldn’t be available at the time the post is created & sent to FB.(??)

    Thanks again!

SassKwatch – did you get anywhere with this? I would like to do the same.

Unfortunately, no. The reply I received was as follows…..

“Jetpack Publicize uses its own applications (named “WordPress.com”) to publish to your connected Social networks. This way, you do not need to create a Developer account and create your own applications for each Social Network.

Unfortunately, that means that each post is posted by an application named WordPress.com instead of using your blog name for example. If you’d like to use your own applications, you will have to use a different plugin.”
