I went to Yahoo and set up an application ID and copied it into the Sitemaps plug-in, but every time I update my sitemaps, I get the following error:
"There was a problem while notifying YAHOO"
Now I noticed that when signing up for a Yahoo! application Id, they give you several options, and I chose the unauthenticated one. Is that wrong? Or is there something else going on with the plug-in?
Google postings work fine.

I get the same error message.
Like technabob I also chose the generic unauthenticated option.

Hi,
could you tell me the response of the following page with your API key and sitemap url?
http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/updateNotification?appid=YOUR_API_KEY&url=YOUR_SITEMAP_URL
Best regards,
Arne

I actually get a success message when I post directly:
<Success>
<Message>Update notification has successfully submitted.</Message>
</Success>

And now that I look at your plugin today, I see this message: "YAHOO was successfully notified about changes."
So I'm assuming something was wrong on Yahoo!s end.
