Blackbird theme not showing logo on home page

I installed the blackbird theme with no problem. When I went to change the picture on the home page I had trouble getting it to save the uploaded picture. It frustrated me so much I waited several days to work on it again. Today I uploaded a logo, again it took several tries to get it to save. Now the blackbird logo is on the home page and my uploaded logo is on the other pages. I can’t figure out how to edit the code and get it to save.
