Hi…I have installed Head META Description, but how do I actually use it, and how I know if any changes are made?
I have read through the comment over at their site, but still do not understand how to use it, and from the looks of it the plugin author has not been responding for some time now...
I also looked through the page source, and I just only see the meta tag for description. Does it mean that its working?
And how do I add meta tags for keywords?

The plugins webpage (http://guff.szub.net/2005/09/01/head-meta-description/) describes how to install and activate it quite clearly, although you will need some knowledge of how webpages are constructed. If you don't I suggest learning the anatomy of a webpage first.
As for how you add metatags - you don't. The plugin automatically generates metadata based on the content of your posts. The website states "The plugin outputs a brief summary of a post’s or Page’s excerpt..."
I suggest studying the files mentioned on the authors website and working out how they work before trying to use this plugin.

Hi Ashram.
I have no problem with the installation and activation part. It's using it that I am quite lost.
For example...I want to add the following line
<meta name="keywords" content="blah blah blah">
How do I do that using Head-Meta?
Lastly...will uninstalling Head-Meta restore everything back the way before it was installed? For example, will the meta tags which Head Meta added be removed upon uninstallation?
I may sound crazy...but I just did a check on google. Few days ago before installing Head Meta, my position for the search term "secret affiliate weapon review" is 12, now after installing Head-Meta I can't find my site anywhere in the SERP...
Not sure if its Head-Meta that's causing the problem...

I don't use this plugin myself, however from what I can gather you can't configure the plugin to add the meta data you want. It generates the meta data by itself from whatever is in your post.
If you want to add specific metadata to your site I would suggest adding it manually in your header.php file right under the already existing meta data.
As for uninstalling it, it will depend on what changes you have made manually in your other files. If you ensure you remove all the changes you have made your site should revert back to its original state (Keeping a backup before making changes makes this easier).

I wouldn't worry about it. No search engine worth it's salt uses them anymore. Also, see the article from search engine watch for more.

Just I can just forget about touching meta description and meta keywords at all then.
I have deactivated the plugin. Just hope my pages can regain their ranking...
