Support » Plugin: qTranslate » qtranslate editor gets disabled when the user is not an administrator

  • I have qtranslate 2.5.32 and WP 3.4.2. qtranslate works fine when the user editing a post / page is an administrator, but for any other role I get:

“The qTranslate Editor has disabled itself because it hasn’t been tested with your WordPress version yet. This is done to prevent WordPress from malfunctioning…”

And the post title and content appear unformatted. Changing the user’s role to administrator solves the problem. Of course I don’t want to have all my blog editors to be administrators just to be able to use qtranslate.

Any idea what the problem could be? Is there any plugin known to cause issues to qtranslate?

    Thanks,

  • Has there been an update on this? Were you ever able to discover/fix the issue?

I’ve been experiencing the same problem in WP v3.5.1, qTranslate v2.5.34, and User Role Editor v3.14.1.

Still getting the same problem, qtranslate works fine for administrators but not for editors.

I am using WP3.5.2 (deutsch) with qtranslate 2.5.36 (latest version). I even tried the qtranslate beta version to see if the problem has been fixed, but it has’nt 🙁

    Any solutions in sight?

    Thanks, raupenpief
