Oh sorry, I forgot to say that I cannot see the Install Theme option anymore either.
It keeps changing; sometimes it says “Error establishing a database connection”
and sometimes it says:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_theme() in /home/teresamo/public_html/wp-content/themes/hatch/library/functions/utility.php on line 119
Your theme might not be compatible with your WordPress version. You would need to remove that particular theme that you activated.
Go to the wp-content folder using your hosting control panel, look for the themes folder. Did you by chance activated a theme called ‘hatch’? If so, you would need to remove the hatch folder. But backup it if you had made certain modification to the files.
You can try to login to WordPress again.
That’s the most weird thing. I don’t have a hosting yet. I was trying to get one, but still didnt have any. That’s why I was so surprised yesterday morning when I was able to Install themes, because usually you need to hosting for that. But now it when back to normal and I cannot remove the theme hatch.
I tried to activate another one after. And it does activate, but doesn’t show on the webpage.
If you have installed WordPress on your computer, you could remove the theme folder from your computer.
Well, I am bit lost, it the first time I am trying to do that. Only thing I did was to buy a domain. I didn’t install wordpress anywhere…
Do you also have a wordpress.com site?
I mean, I bought the domain through wordpress site.
Then you cannot have bought a domain through WordPress. You must have registered a domain and bought hosting from a 3rd party hosting company. then installed WordPress yourself. Do you know who your hosting company is?
I just signed up with wordpress and instead of taking the free domain teresamonllau.wordpress.com, I bought http://www.teresamonllau.com
That’s how I got the domain.
