   I would like to make my pages more search engine friendly and looking for the best meta tag generator plugin.

   My question is that I just dowloaded WP last week on 1-07-07.

   Does this version already have it in place or do I need something else?

   If something else is needed what is the best meta-generator plug in out there, based on your own experience, for a novice and ease of installation but giving one the most features?

   WordPress in and of itself performs no special SEO. For that you'll want to look at modifying your theme and/or installing plugins aimed at this.
