MT Importing Problem

I’m running WP 2.0.6 and have been trying to import my MT posts. I’ve been using the automatic import function in WP and everything seems to go fine until the work/confirmation page:

1. Importing post …

All done. Have fun!

It looks like everything has successfully been imported, but nothing appears under Posts. Also, I’m assuming that after the “Importing post …” part, there would be more text added in regards to the full process, instead of just finalising.

I have tried importing one entry at a time (the whole .txt file is over 2mb), but this has made no difference.

I have gone through the Support Forums and as yet haven’t found any solutions – I managed to find one post with the same problem, but there was no solution published.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or help!
