Perhaps I am just too green at this. It has been over 10 years since I’ve done any coding and this WP thing has me so frustrated. I just want to change the header image in TwentyEleven and customize the menu. This seems like it should be simple to do, no?

I tried uploading the new header image, it is the right size but it just doesn’t show up. In fact, none of the images show up when I go to the media section. It says the names but no images. If I look in Chrome it has the broken image symbol but in Firefox there is just nothing.

    The website is http://www.jeffjoseph.com

    What am I doing wrong?

  • Looks like something goes wrong in the upload :
    http://www.jeffjoseph.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/3dheader.jpg

This is the address for your header picture. 404 error when we try to access it.

Can you make sure your wp-content/uploads folder permission is at least 755?

The file permission can be change via FTP or cPanel if you self host it.

Yes, I realize that. I have tried to upload it several times across 3 different browsers using the browser upload button. No images will upload this way. Is it my browsers?

Hmm, never mind. Apparently the developer who started this site before me had set a path in the media settings to store uploads in the C:\jj\www/…. path. Very strange. Fixed now. Thanks to those who tried to help.
