Url changes in wordpress

    I have an URL with a swedish letter, ä, and wordpress removes that characters when I’m for example activate a plug-in.

    I am on http://www.bästasidan.se and activate a plug-in and afterwords wordpress tries to go to http://www.bstasidan.se which do not exist.

    I can fix that manually but is there anything more that could goes wrong with that problem?

    Does anyone know? Please!

    The same thing happens when I make a new post. After update the letter “ä” is missing in the url. I have no idea how to fix that. Is it a bug?
