10 day limit fine for mainpage, but not archives

I have my blog (http://politedissent.com) set to display the last 10 days worth of posts. This works great for the main page, but when viewers look at a particular month’s archives or a category archives or search for a particlular term, they are limited to 10 days worthof results as well.

How can I keep the 10 day limit on the main page, but have no limit on archive or search results?
