Most pages work but it seems like certainly our frontpage/homepage mclude code is simply being ignored by 0.9.2.6. Is there another method of fragmented caching now in this new version?

It should work as it used too. What does the HTML comment say when you enable debug printout? Could also submit a bug report from the support page.
