... wp_categories' doesn't exist] ... error with WP-Autoblog (4 posts)

Fresh install of 2.3.1. Theme was from your site.

All plugins deactivated but WP-Autoblog produces about 500 errors as listed below:

WordPress database error: [Table 'db_name.wp_categories' doesn't exist]
    SELECT cat_ID, cat_name FROM wp_categories WHERE cat_name = 'Blonde'

WordPress database error: [Table 'db_name.wp_categories' doesn't exist]
    INSERT INTO wp_categories SET cat_name='Blonde', category_nicename='blonde'

From what I've researched, it could be a code issue with the theme. I really can't trash the theme as I've already paid for the design.

How can I figure out what is wrong and how to fix it?

wp_categories is no longer a a valid table in WordPress. Either a plugin or a theme is trying to access that table.

Well, there were no issues until I tried to run WP-Autoblog so I'd say that's the problem and the plugin isn't compatible.

So, I'm back to square one of no way to replicate posts to another blog.

    Damn.

    Thanks.

And that plugin is no longer supported by the author. You may want to try either FeedWordPress or WP-o-Matic, but be warned both of these kick a lot of duplicate posts if you are using it for syndication of content. But if you are using it to export/import, you may be ok.
