I've received a -20 penalty from Google because I had blogroll links to about 15 of my social networking accounts, and for some inconceivable reason, WordPress never gave us an option to "nofollow" these links. I searched the net for a resolution to this, and it is a very long, complicated process to "nofollow" these links, unless there's something I don't know.

Can someone please let me know of an easy way to set things through the Links menu to "nofollow"?

Why would Google care if you are linking to your social networking accounts?

I don't know, but my site is now 3 pages back for its own name!

Found a solution, there's a plugin here on WordPress.org that sets them to nofollow: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nofollow-links/

Maybe it's the links you have coming in, not the other way around. With Google you never know why exactly
