   Hey,

   Ive recently made this site...but after testing it this symbol comes up instead of the photo > �

   any one know what the problem is?

   It looks like a character encoding issue (incompatible text rendered as a question mark symbol). Check your image file and image/media directory names for any non-web-safe characters, symbols, or spaces.

   but the image is displayed normally within the post...how would this effect it being displayed else where?

   Other possibilities:

   A theme issue (since it's only on the category page and not the single post page)

   A plugin problem

   Your IIS server has issues with .png files
