Simple change to Block Spam Comments

After being plagued by 100’s of comments requiring moderation on my blog, I have created a simple hack to completely stop comments containing certain spam phrases & ip addresses. I don’t know if this is exactly the right place to post this. If not, my apologies.

Comments can be blocked by placing a tilde (~) in front of the really obvious spam words and ip addresses in the comment moderation list.
