first, thank you, for response

1. at this moment, i have different theme, but they don't appear on wordpress default theme too. to be correct, on front page comments look like "no comments" as no comments where made.
by the way, this not apply to newly made posts and comments.(u can see it here http://melamory.com/) so i think it's importing problem.. but i don't know how to solve it )

2.from media it's only possible to upload files from my computer..more often i need to attach videos from youtube. but embeding is not working :/

3.i'll try to check plug-in sites ))

Well it sounds like a lot of this is stuff that has to be done by hand when hosting the blog yourself as opposed to wp.com doing it for you.

Are you using the same theme?

1. Might need to edit the theme files to include the code that makes them display on the front page, not sure.

2. Might be a path to the file issue. Not sure about the uploading but you should be able to upload them in each post or under media > add new

3. I have never used wp.com but I am assuming that when a plug in is activated the necessary code for it to work is automatically added to the theme files. This is not the case with a self hosted install. You will need to check each plug in, visit it's site to find the code that needs to be added to the theme files, then add it in the desired/correct places.

Hope this is helpful even though kinda vague. :)

Hello.

i had my blog hosted on wordpress.com about 2,5 years, and now i decided to make it self-hosted.
so i buy godaddy hosting, installed wordpress 2.8, and now i have 3 major problems.
1. i cannot see imported comments on front page.. when i go to the post they r there, but they don't appear on front page.
2. video files. in imported posts they appear only like links in tag + i can't upload new videos with same way i've done it in wordpress.com hosted blogs, is there some different type doing this?
3.Plug-ins.. some plug-ins just don't appear in posts. in dashboard it says that they're activated, but i can't see em. it's about "vote" and "rate" type of plug-ins. i've tried to turn off all plug-ins and even themes, but it still doesn't work.

any suggestions, please?

Thank you )
