Hi Hans,
Yes, the standard text widget works correctly with IE8.

When wp-forecast is inactive, all widgets (e.g., text, search, tag cloud, etc.) can be dragged to the desired sidebar. Everything works correctly.

When wp-forecast is active, widgets (e.g., text, search, tag cloud, wp-forecast, etc.) can not be dragged to the desired sidebar.

hello wreston,
okay I think I understand the case now. since I have no IE8 installed, can you test if this only a problem with wp-forecast. does the wordpress standard text widget work correct with ie8?

Hans, I'm using Wordpress 2.8. When wp-forecast is active, using IE 8, NO widgets can be dragged to the sidebar. If you de-activate wp-forecast, widgets can be dragged to the sidebar.

This only happens with IE 8. When using Firefox (3.0.11), widgets can be dragged to the sidebar, when wp-forecast is active.

I have not done any testing with Chrome or Safari.

When using IE 8, for WP Admin and selecting Appearance / Widgets, I am not able to drag the WP Forcast widget to the desired sidebar location.

Works OK when using Firefox.
