&#60;p&#62;Check out this &#60;a href=&#34;http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ps-disable-auto-formatting/&#34;&#62;plugin&#60;/a&#62;.  It has helped me a lot.  It removes the auto formatting that WordPress inserts. After you install the plugin, you can hit return twice to create a space between paragraphs.  The change is site wide as far as I can tell. The plugin will not reformat old posts. You will need to go back and enter carriage returns wherever you want to separate paragraphs. I hope this helps!&#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;Great plugin! Currently I have the options set to show full post in the sidebar, this part is working fine. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;How can I get the sidebar to recognize paragraphs? Currently the whole the whole post looks like a single paragraph.&#60;/p&#62;
