Hi alter, I guess something is still in your database.

If you have access to it (with phpmyadmin for instance) you can try cleaning up the mess. make sure to backup your base before !!

you should probably remove any reference to gengo in wp_options, also remove the wp_language content...

This thread from a month ago indicates Gengo may have some existing issues.

I don't know if the functionality is the same, but maybe try qTranslate. (Search the repository for it.)

maybe I should put this into a new topic but...

ok so its a great relief that my site is back but i would like to still use Gengo. The trouble is that as soon as I reactivate it i get the same old error. I removed the entire Gengo folder and re-uploaded a new zip of the widgit.

So I guess it played around with some settings within my WP setup which only come into issue when Gengo is activated.

Hmm, any ideas?

Try deleting or renaming the Gengo plugin file on your server. You can do this via FTP or by logging in to your server's file management system.

See if this fixes the errors and allows you to log in.

Hi there,
I embarked on installing the multiple language widgit Gengo 2.5.3 because I want a site that works in English (default), Yiddish, Hebrew and Swedish (strange combo, yes, I know.)

Anyway, i installed and activated Gengo, went to its language menu and set Yiddish as the first language - a mistake because the first langauge set is made into the default langauge of the website. The default should be english.

Now if i just try to access the front of the website all i get is this error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in ~/wordpress/wp-includes/classes.php on line 145

I can go directly to my login page, which displays a link at the top left which reads "back to yiddish" but when i enter I get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_currentuserinfo() in ~/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/gengo/gengo.php on line 1557

Please please help me! I'd like to reverse whatever the hell i just did. And I am new, so please be easy!
Thankyou
