Hello,

once the plugin is activated, you can find

Settings in the Settings > Amazon Widgets Shortcodes tab

Shortcode builder in your rich text editor. You can easily spot it with the Amazon logo

Please not if you use the "Turbo" options, it caches JavaScript files on your computer and so, it does not ask the files required by the plugin to work.
Deactivate and reactive this function to flush its cache.

Hello, I'm a complete newbie to blogs, WP, and plug-ins so I might be missing something very basic. I installed your plug-in, activated it and configured it, however, I am having troubling understanding how to use it. I'm using WP 2.7.1 and I've navigated the back office forwards and backwards yet it's still elluding me. I was expecting to see a GUI interface like the screen shot examples.

Thanks, Dan

It seems to work with the copy/paste method, so I have to create the html code in the copy/paste section to produce the code everytime?

Hmm, okay. Where would I get the html code I need to produce the action for each product I talk about or do I use yours as the example everytime. Another question, I guess to make it easier on me you have a section to supply the image, but where are you getting the images' address. I still keep making small rectangles.

here's an example post

Yup,

ASIN code for books corresponds generally to ISBN-10. At least, when Amazon gives me the affiliate links it's the way it works.

I tried to insert an image only after reading your message and it went fine.
In fact, you'll have to copy/paste the "image only" HTML code as I can't guess the image source only from that code bit.

For example, I copy/pasted that:

<a href="http://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/0441017150?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=onctom-21&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1642&amp;creative=19458&amp;creativeASIN=0441017150"><img border="0" src="51FTO0Y-nnL._SL160_.jpg"></a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.fr/e/ir?t=onctom-21&amp;l=as2&amp;o=8&amp;a=0441017150" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />

I "apply the magic" and then, it autoconfigures the widget, I insert it as this shortcode:

[amazon-product image="51FTO0Y-nnL._SL160_.jpg" type="image"]0441017150[/amazon-product]

Try and tell me :-)

I don't know if I doing this correctly but I can seem to get the just "image only" version for my post, when I try I do get a link but instead of an image I get a black rectangle.

Another thing, amazon doesn't seem to be showing ASIN Code numbers anymore on the books.
