Follow up on this issue in case someone else has this problem.

We contacted feedburner and after some playing around they suggested that the feed setting (in feedburner) be changed to:

http://yoursitename.com/?feed=atom

this did not solve the problem however they then emailed us an updated copy of feed-atom.php to replace the one that came with WP (2.71) and that did the trick.

Now we have full text set in WP (settings/reading) and have the Summary Burner option set in Feedburner with a character limit of 300.

Feeburner now displays the first 300 characters of each post and the post title is a link to the full post on our site.

We just set up an account on Feedburner for one of our blogs.

Everything seems to work and the site is feeding blog post information to the Feedburner site.

The only problem is that we are trying to display summary info on Feedburner for each post and we can get it to either display the full post or the post title only.

When selecting the Full Text option under settings/reading it displays the full post text in Feedburner. When selecting Summary under settings/reading it displays only the post title.

We also activated the Summary Burner option in Feedburner with the Full Text selection in WP but it didn't seem to make a difference. In this case it also only displays the Post title.

I noticed on this forum and at other sites that many have had similar problems but I have not seen a solution to this.

Anyone out there find a way to make this work?
