Basically, it's sorta similar to the old built-in object caching, for queries in specific. Clever, but I think it's a tad misguided. Querying a database is probably going to be faster than looking for the same query in a filesystem manner. DB's are optimized and efficent, filesystems have all sorts of caveats to cope with.</p> <p>I'd not be surprised if this offers no improvements.
