I have been through the countless threads on the topic of TinyMCE in Wordpress. Specifically, my editor was not showing any formatting buttons, and the Visual tab was "active", although I could only see HTML tags in the typing area. Clicking the HTML tab had no effect.</p> <p>I have been replacing files left and right from a working version on one site to a non-working version on another site. I took a look at the errors Firebug's Console was giving me, and it kept bringing up errors in <strong>wp-includes/js/tinymce/themes/advanced/editor_template.js</strong>.</p> <p>As soon as I replaced this file, and did a Control+F5 refresh in Firefox, bam, it worked. Nothing else was working, including the deleting browser cache and all that jazz.</p> <p>Anyway, just posting this here in the hopes that it may help another lost soul. :) </p>
