Little did I know it would reset all my files and directory's permissions to 777 leaving them open and vulnerable to all sorts of evil. </p> <p>Luckily my hosting service has something running on the server that will throw an error if the directories are set to 777. unluckily, I still have to go back in an change all the permissions back to 755 for the darn site to even work! grrrrrr.</p> <p><a href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/" rel="nofollow">http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/</a> </p>
