I'm trying the following location: EUR|ES|SP017|Getxo|

The plugin correctly finds and places the location in the box for me, I update my options, but then on the actual site it says "Accuweather failure notice: Location does not exist."

Searching for EUR|ES|SP017|Getxo| on Accuweather.com takes me to the right forecast, and it shows it in the URL just like that. Is there some kind of cache or something? I set the interval to 1 second to see if it would help. Changing it to nearby Bilbao works fine. Are some cities just not supported?

Edit: not sure why it didn't work, but I changed it to a town inside the city and it's working now.

what kind of data do you need for this? what is a "weather temp"?
I thought you need wind strength, wind direction and gusts which are provided by wp-forecast. If you tell me what data yo are missing, I will check if it is provided by the weather services and will have a look if I can extend the plugin.

you can change it lang/en_US.po using a poeditor and then recompile to a .mo file. alternatively you can just correct the en_US.po and send it to me, I will convert it for you and add the fixes to the next release (of course you will get it asap). of course I will fix "Windgusts" now, but maybe there are more typos?

there is an automatic search functionality at the bottom of the admin screen. enter e.g. washington and hit search, you will get a list, select the wanted entry from the list and don't forget to save the settings...this is as described in the reference

I am not sure what you mean by "styles of different widgets". but you can change the layout via css files. as of v2.4 you can create a file wp-forecast.css which will be taken as your style. maybe wp-forecast-default.css is a good start. there is no preview functionality. can you give me an example plugin with preview and what is this good for?

Hi Hans,
Yes, the standard text widget works correctly with IE8.

When wp-forecast is inactive, all widgets (e.g., text, search, tag cloud, etc.) can be dragged to the desired sidebar. Everything works correctly.

When wp-forecast is active, widgets (e.g., text, search, tag cloud, wp-forecast, etc.) can not be dragged to the desired sidebar.

from version 2.4 on there is a shortcode built into wp-forecast.
you can just put [wpforecast id="A"] in your post and the widget is displayed in an iframe not slowing down the rest of the post.

Hans, I'm using Wordpress 2.8. When wp-forecast is active, using IE 8, NO widgets can be dragged to the sidebar. If you de-activate wp-forecast, widgets can be dragged to the sidebar.

This only happens with IE 8. When using Firefox (3.0.11), widgets can be dragged to the sidebar, when wp-forecast is active.

I have not done any testing with Chrome or Safari.

from developer:

manually edit your template
   file and put the wp-forecast function where you want your weather
   data to show up.
   Example:

<ul>
<li>
                 <?php if(function_exists(wp_forecast)) {
                   wp_forecast( <widget_id> );
                 } ?>
             </li>
</ul>

     You have to replace <widget\_id> with the choosen widget id.
     For the first widget use wp\_forecast("A"), for the second
     wp\_forecast("B") and so on.
     In most cases it is advisable to put the call into a div environment.

Hello,

First of all I must say that I love this plugin, great work!

My question is.. how could I add the forecast for several days into a post/page? I'd like to keep the sidebar widget short and clean with some general information (that's done) and a more detailed forecast in a specific post.

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Mike
