im very impressed with this plugin, and dont understand why we dont see it used more across the web. is there any way to use this plugin with random form fields in wordpress? or is there a way to reuse this anywhere with a php/js script? id like to just make a really simple form based page on my site and want to use captcha free, but not really sure how to do it

thanks for the plugin and any info, keep up the great work!

I think these problems are due to some other plugin. WP Captcha-Free blocks spam comments while submitting only and does not put any comments in spam folder. It does not ask for any security code either.

First problem - it took perfectly legitimate comments and put them in Spam folder.

Second problem - on uninstall it actually asks for security code before submitting a comment. It's supposed to be Captcha free.

Third problem - I deactivated, uninstalled and deleted the plugin from the dashboard - still asks for security code. Used FTP to delete files, no change.

Cleared cache - still asks for code.

I usually got between 12 to 75 spam comments per day (often MORE). Akismet stopped all of them, but I had to manually "delete all spam". This got annoying and I looked for a plugin to solve this problem.

I'm the sort of person that likes installing as little as possible: on my laptop, desktop, websites, everywhere. Once extracted, this plugin was just A SINGLE PHP file spanning just 4.7K (excluding the README).

After installing this plugin, and 3 days later, I have not received a single spam.

This is a fantastic solution, because it does not get in users's way, or in the webmaster's way. It is small, efficient, and works perfectly!

Thanks for this!

1. Doesn't work (i.e. stops commenting) when trying to respond in the administration pages.
2. The "trackback" check is commented out, so - I think - it stops trackback comments?

Hello,

I like the plugin, it really reduced spam to zero for me! :)
But when I want to write an answer to a comment via the "Respond" button in the backend, it doesn't work because the plugin requires the hash.

Can you change that somehow? (Or is this an error on my part?)

I love the idea of blocking the !@#$%^&* spambots but without burdening the user. I believe CAPTCHA imposes an incredible burden upon the user, and destoys the website's conversion rate.

Could you please make this solution available for RapidWeaver?

Specifically, could you create a plug-in or snippet for RapidWeaver to be used in conjunction with websites created by the RapidWeaver app?

Or, if it is simply a matter of uploading it to the server, is there any tweaking required? I could upload it to the same directory as my forms, but I am unsure if it'll work in its present form without any changes.
