It works well in most cases. However I've just hit a snag...</p> <p>I want to be able to order the posts (portfolio items) with the best work first, and not necessarily in chronological/alphabetical/etc order. Wordpress obviously isn't able to decide for itself which is best so either I add a number as a custom field to each representing my preferred order and sort by that, or I find a nice plugin which allows me to visually move posts up and down the list.
