When Force_SSL_Login is set to true, i'm prompting to re-login again when visiting the dashboard of a site, even though it's clear I'm still logged in. Removing force_ssl_login fixes it, but is not a workable solution for obvious reasons.

I am currently directly hacking the plugin (which is would not be maintainable for our organization long-term) changing the following in three places.

header('Location: ' . wp_login_url());

to

header('Location: ' . wp_login_url()."?redirect_to=". home_url());

I just noticed that this plugin does nothing to restrict access to uploaded files, such as images or pdf's. If someone has a direct link to an uploaded file, they can view it just fine without being sent to a login page.

Is this something that could/should be updated?

I installed the present version (3.0.1.3) of this plugin into my WordPress 3.1 (multisite, subdirectories) site and it works fine. What problems are you having with yours?

Now the proper domain name is redirected to, but the 'http://{many-diffrent-domain-names.com}/wp-login.php' URLs are not existing there, for login/signup. All blogs/domains SHOULD BE redirected to 'http://sso-primary-domain.com/wp-admin/wp-login.php'

Can somebody point me out where and which mod_rewrite rule must be added to make it work properly?

What's happening for me is that it's not happening, and therefore, users are getting a Page Not Found error.

I still haven't found the root of what's causing this, and I'm wondering if this behavior can be controlled through sunrise.php.

What I should do is put "Network: true" in the header of the plugin and it would only allow for Network Activation direct from the WP plugin repo, but the plugin would still expect to work if the site was a non network site. I haven't bothered to code/test the plugin for privacy options for both both single wp and network wp. So I've left it as is.

for login, activate, etc. When it's linked to the main site I get no error messages and everything looks fine. I suppose it's more of a WP MS issue when activate.php is trying to be called from a subdirectory.

I've never seen any conflict with the user activation while the privacy plugin is active. I can' t reproduce the error with what you have written.

Are you sure you only get a 404 when the plugin is active?

I'd like to solve this error. Is this a more-privacy-options issue with redirecting to the correct url or is this a WP MS issue? I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

@dsader Thanks. I did get it working. Seems to have something to do with the Domain mapping. I am using a host where it is not possible to use the subdomain method for multi-site. Consequently all the domain mapping his handled through the domain-mapping plug in... etc.

Anyway, I found that I had to change the individual database options to get to work. If I am mapping the blog to a subdomain, or different domain than the main network, then it seems to be essential that the site options database has the subomain/alternate domain urls in the home and site url fields. Just setting the domain to "primary domain" in the domain mapping doesn't seem to work.

I am having the same problem but am not able to fix it.
Setup:
- sub1.mydomain.tdl => wordpress multisite install & blog 1
- sub1.mydomain.tdl/sub2 => blog 2
-- mapped to mydomain.tdl
- sub1.mydomain.tdl/sub3 => blog 3
-- mapped to sub3.mydomain.tdl

It is a bit complicated because strato.de does not support wildcard domains..

So if I want to use a privacy plugin I just everytime get redirect to /wp-admin and cant view the page anymore. If i turn off the domain mapping remote login setting i get to view the page but need to login for all 3 blogs on their own.

Any ideas? :D

If you set a blog to be "blog members only" then the messages you want to edit on the login form should be from the function registered_members_login_message.

I want to change it so that only the 2nd message shows, the more restrictive, and I also want to change the text in that message.

In ds_wp3_private_blog.php, I commented out the code:

echo '' . bloginfo(name) . ' can be viewed by Registered Network Users of ' . $current_site->site_name .'.';


But that resulted in neither message showing.

Any ideas?
