Hi, I have the same problem - installed plugin but there is no extra page created on the dashboard - so it is not possible to configure for the verification method - have also entered code into comments.php file and see nothing.
Have logged out of admin area and still see nothing.

I have received many comments that aren't spams but there is no way to rescue them.

Please tell, ia anyone knows, about moving comments from spam? Users sometime happen to be stupid (can't count or etc.), but nice comments are pity to be lost.
How to get those comments out of the blacklist and list of "caught" spam?

I.e. like Akismet and WP do - Mark as not spam.
Thanks in advance!!
Very nice stuff, but this would be really cool addition!!!

I also tried directly e-mailing the developer, but it bounced. I'm thinking this plugin is probably no longer supported, and we should just try something else instead.

Is_human sounded great and seemed to have a high rating, but I haven't been able to get it to work at all. I installed the plugin, activated it, and added the code to my comments.php form as indicated... But nothing happens.

No CAPTCHA or other verification shows up on the comment form (yes, I made sure I logged out before testing it), and there doesn't appear to be any sort of settings page or any other trace of the plugin anywhere in the admin. Not under Settings, not under Manage, not anywhere as far as I can tell.

Have I missed some sort of installation step? The read me file doesn't mention anything other than activating it and adding the code to the template, but I've done that, with no result. And it makes reference to an admin backend, so I know there's supposed to be one in theory - but it's not showing up. What have I done wrong?

I have recently migrated my site to php5 and have installed ishuman() for spam management... however I seem to be losing comments.

Comments submit ok, but then if the non spam comment appears in my email list I can not access it (comment not found) and if I click on the comment in the edit-comments.php it flashes red and then still stays on the approve list.

I am currently only using the equations for spam checking. All the comments seem to be coming through o.k... but I can not edit or control them once they are in..... So I am presuming I have everything set up correctly :-)

Thoughts please.

Cheers

hiho,

as there is no other way to contact the author here my short note about some inprovements in the is_human.php:

to get rid of the php warnings about "unserialize expects string, not array":

original code:
... unserialize($this->ih[XY]) ...
new code:
... unserialize((string)$this->ih[XY]) ...

then the script wasnt working if I switched off "show registered users" because if a user is not logged in $userdata is NULL - not empty. so:

original code:
... $userdata->user_login !== '' ...
new code:
... $userdata->user_login !== NULL ...

you can download the new is_human.php here.

besides this plugin is ROCK N ROLL! thx alot for this wonderful piece of code of peace in the war against spam ;)

best regards,
andi

ps: regarding the system settings i can only tell you that i have running the wp2.6 on an apache2 with PHP Version 5.2.3 . For further information please contact me directly.

I've installed the is_human() plugin on a wordpress install that uses a sub-folder for wordpress.

http://MY_SITE.COM/wordpress/

The dashboard link:

is_human() has rejected 5 comments and 0 new users since June 24th, 2008.

the links on "5 comments" and "0 new users" should lead to the setting page for is_human, but they ignore the folder location for wordpress, and the link is constructed as if the blog were installed at the root location of MY_SITE.COM/ instead of MY_SITE.COM/wordpress/
