Hi,

What I would quite like to be able do is query the Project Honeypot database, and use the result to determine what to send to the client (e.g., don't supply a comment form so comment spammers can't abuse it, or don't output email addresses to harvesters), instead of blocking them altogether.

So if there was a function that let you query the database (without performing any further action) you could then use it in your Wordpress theme to decide what content to show/hide.

Would you consider building in such a feature?

Thanks,

The plugin looks like it does create the table as the httpbl.php file does have the CREATE TABLE starting at line 135.

Try deactivating, reactivating, and entering your Access Key again.

I am getting this error message: "Table httpbl_log doesn't exist".

Once installed and activated, I proceeded to configuration, and the error message started to appear when I checked the Enable Loggin option.
I know I need to create such table, but I have not been able to find information about the structure.

There is a similar problem when you install it in WPMU in the mu-plugins folder in that the url for the button looks is /wp-content/plugins/httpbl/project_honey_pot_button.png which causes a internal redirect error because it does not exist.

So you either need to create the folder in the plugins folder and drop the graphic in there or you need to edit the code.

Except that comment spammers do not seem to be counted by Honeypot on your dashboard, correct? (I have well over 1500 comment spans from a single IP in Sweden, and Honeypot shows "0" spam on my site, despite me adding the honeypot link to the same page accessed by the spammer.)

http:BL seems to be doing nothing for me. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong somewhere, but neither the honeypot forums or plugin forums seem to respond to the question, and I've read all I can find on installation/configuration.

I removed http:BL and installed "Bad Behavior" and Bad Behavior Log Reader in its place, and now finally see actual results in blovking the comment spammer.

Check the "Bad Behavior" stats right at the very bottom of my blog pages...(all from the SAME comment spammer!)

1. Not needed. BB has http:BL 'built in' as it were. You just have to configure it on the BB config page.

2. If you've joined honeypot then, by putting their links on your site and using BB you're already doing that :)

Hi!
Started using this plugin, now sme questions eliminated:
1. Is it normal to use Bad Behaviour and http:BL on one site together?
2. Is there a way (i.e. - a button in a comments screen) to send comment spamers to blacklists?
I installed honeypot, but i want to tell the blacklist about my new spammers...

At line 52 of httpbl.php you need to explicitly cast $results as an (array) to prevent an ugly PHP warning at the top of each page which says:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/httpbl/httpbl.php on line 52

In other words, it becomes:

foreach ((array)$results as $row) {
