It looks like your site is offline right now. Do you have a plugin installed that blocks non-logged-in users? This could be the problem, as iCal won't be able to authenticate.

Hi,

Love the plugin but i have one problem. When i try to download the calender of events i get these errors.

"This calendar file is unreadable. No events have been added to your iCal calendar." << This is for the single event

and

"Data downloaded from http://www.egothieves.com/?feed=gigpress-ical&artist=1 is not valid." << And this when trying to subscribe.

Any ideas why?

Thanks

GigPress does not officially support MU, though I've had many reports of it working just fine. This same error seems to be a problem with many plugins when running under MU, and a quick search doesn't yield a fix. I'll put it on the list of things to investigate nonetheless.

OK, that's good. Do you have access to your database via phpMyAdmin? If so, try changing the show_related column of the wp_gigpress_shows table to have a default value of 0. My intuition is that you're running MySQL in STRICT mode, and this is the problem.

Let me know?

I've heard so many great things about this plugin and have tried installing it. My problem is that it does not seem to be loading the default css sheet. I have tried copying the default css and creating a new sheet titled gigpress.css in my main folder as suggested, but that still does not work.

I do have the <?php wp_head(); ?> in my theme's header file, as I read this could be part of the problem. Any Ideas?

Newest version of Wordpress. Doesn't affect the admin area. Say I have a page called "About" and in it I type "This page is about the site." It shows up fine when Gigpress (even 2.0, tried updating) is deactivated. When it is activated the page is blank. Sidebar is fine, header is fine, page even has the background still... the content of the page is just not there. It just doesn't have the "This page is about the site." part. Everything else is there.

Hey Lio - Derek here, GigPress' developer. I just tried to reproduce this error with both PNG and JPG images, using both the Flash and browser uploaders, and could not reproduce it. All worked as expected. This is on a Linux box running WP 2.8.1 and GigPress 1.4.7.

Any progress since your last post?

I'm currently trying to put on a website for my band; using gigpress seems to me the best choice.
I never paid attention to a fact I discovered today:
when I try to upload a new image to the media Library, there's an HTTP error, the image is uploaded but wordpress does not create any thumbnail or other sized images... anymore.
I tried to deactivate all plugins, and I'm sorry but Gigpress is the problem.

Any idea where the problem is?

Thanks for helping,
Lio

I'm having trouble with the 'toggle venue info' link that's supposed to reveal a few extra fields when you click on it.
It works in Firefox but not in IE7. Haven't tested elsewhere.
It worked fine before the recent update.
I believe I've tracked down the problem to this bit of jQuery in the Gigpress.js file:

 $gp('tr span.moreVenue').show();
$gp('tbody#venueInfo').hide();

 $gp('tr span.moreVenue a').click(function()
{
$gp('tbody#venueInfo').toggle();
return false;
}
);

This was a data migration problem where some settings were corrupted in the transfer of the database from local to remote servers, and <i>not</i> an indication that there's any sort of incompatibility with MediaTemple and GigPress. I sorted out the issue with the poster by deleting the corrupted settings.

I just uploaded a WordPress site from my loca server (MAMP) to my remote server (MediaTemple).

I run:
WP 2.7.1
PHP 5
MySQL (4 something, I think, according to MediaTemple).

The Gigpress plugin is doing some weird stuff.

First, it is actevated, but the plugin box doesn't show at all in the right sidebar.

Secondly, on the front-end it displays "am" instead of the date.
My site really relays on the plugin to show concerts.

Any help?

Hey, I just checked your link, but there's nothing in the page content. I assume you disabled GigPress?

My guess would be that you had a CSS rule in your theme that was affecting the table display ... the default styles work just fine in IE.

Hello all,

I am using WP 2.7.1 and the GigPress plugin is version 1.4.6. Everything looks perfect when I view it with Firefox, Opera, Chrome or Safari, but not IE. If I look at it w/ IE some of the border lines don't line up properly. You can see it in action here:

http://test.thestrictlybusinessband.com/?page_id=16

I would appreciate any help can get on this as this is about the last thing I need to make this site "live."

Thanks!
