Not that I know of, but there is a possibility with css. All you would have to do is define some classes in your stylesheet:

.red{ color:#f00; }
.green{ color:#0f0; }
.blue{ color:#00f; }

and then add them to your headers in the html mode:

<h2 class="red">Cool Beans</h2>
<h3 class="green">Rad Beans</h3>
<h4 class="blue">Zombie Killer Beans from Mars</h4>

I know that this may not be the best-case-scenario that you were looking for, but if you implement it, it will do what you want it too.

Glad that worked for the sidebar. For the other errors, a
</p>
is not a closing tag for a table with an opening tag of
<td style=....
 Try taking the white space out in the wordpress editor; the editor adds paragraph tags when it sees white space and sometimes add closing tags without opening
<p>
tags.

Hi WP-People,

I was wondering about the following: (basically) does anyone know of a (TinyMCE) plugin that lets users format headers in the text? (In the WYSIWYG editor pane.) I mean: a lot of text-styling (By design(ers).) is done through headers and it's also important semantically. I've looked around for a plugin that would support this (Like "TinyMCE Advanced".) but haven't found one yet.

Does anyone know of a plugin or 'a way'?

Thank in advance for your replies!

Thank you again for your help. As it turned out when I removed the theme search box and replaced it i took out one line of code too much.
I also went through the report you provided and found all of the open tags it pointed out to already be closed. Is it normal for this report return errors like that which are really not errors?

You've got missing paragraph and table closing tags that are causing the sidebar problems. You can ignore the errors having to do with unencoded ampersands, but fitx the other problems. Scroll down through the validation report for the line numbers of the errors in the source code. [Invalid]Markup Validation of remarkabledogs.com/ - W3C Markup Validator

My side bar lost all it's formatting and do not how to get it back. The issue started Tuesday night. I have checked with HostGator and they claim their servers are fine. The only change that was made was removing the code for the search box and replacing it with Google Site Search for businesses. That change was made Monday afternoon and all was running fine. I followed the direction on the theme site to make the change. I have had other programers confirm the change was made correctly.

Please Help me to reformat my sidebar!!!

Hi guys,

I am trying to install ajax inline comments on my site http://www.AliphAurMeem.com/blog. I downloaded and installed the Ajaxed Wordpress, and configured it to display the show/hide comments on my main page. However, I don't like the way the comments appear themselves (I got them to use my theme's style; I wasn't a big fan of AWP's styling either).

I have seen sites where it's just a basic white textbox with scroll bars, and the comments appear as

Author: Blah blah blah ... (Time)

and then there is a link for adding your own text message, etc.

What's the easiest way to accomplish that? Do I need to modify my comments.php or edit the CSS? I don't like the cluttered way it shows the comments. I just like a simple textbox with scrollbars approach, kinda like this:

http://www.jasminestarblog.com/

I was attempting to create a small space between the top of my header and the top of the page; currently the header hits the very top of the page with no space between it. I'd like a small space between the top of the page and the header, similar to that seen on http://mishkanyc.com/bloglin/. They also have a banner above their header, but I don't want to implement that- just the space at the top of it that's lacking in my page.

I utilized their stylesheet for layout and changed colors, but I think I put in a different rotating header code, and that may be part of the problem, or not, I'm not sure.

Unfortunately that didn't change anything. I did notice if I turn off the dynamic header plugin it seems to screw up the whole page leaving this message and part of the header:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function show_media_header() in /home/yrfriend/public_html/wp-content/themes/yrfriendmatthew/header.php on line

I doubt if that has anything to do with anything. I was attempting to base the layout on this site's layout, but they appear to use a form of javascript and I'm not sure how to implement it:

http://mishkanyc.com/bloglin/

Hello all,

I recently fixed my Kubrick header at http://www.yrfriendmatthew.com to be a neato rotating image banner using the 'dynamic-headers' plugin. It looks great, but I noticed the space usually between the top of the page and the banner is gone, and I can't replace it!

I'd deleted the header-img.php, and putting it back did nothing, nor did any of the following:

Changing the margin size for #header in the stylesheet

Changing the margin size for #header img in the stylesheet

moving the code for the rotating header plugin around in the header php

If anyone could suggest a reason or solution why this happened, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

It means it will look inside the .gz file if your server support unzipping or in the /wp-tinymce.js file if not.
exit;

... theme_advanced_blockformats:"p,h3,h4", ...

Can any clever coder type help me out? The formatting of my homepage appears to have gone a skew!

No idea why, and it is only effecting the homepage, all post pages and topic pages load fine.

I guess your gonna tell me to take a look at the homepage css file or something equally alien to me, before you do could you please suggest what I might be looking for?

A huge hug to anyone that can help me out :)

Here is the code to create your own plugin to edit the 'theme_advanced_blockformats' string. It works for me using 2.8.5

function customformatTinyMCE($init) {
	// Add block format elements you want to show in dropdown
	$init['theme_advanced_blockformats'] = 'p,h3,h4,h5,h6';

	// Add elements not included in standard tinyMCE doropdown p,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6
	//$init['extended_valid_elements'] = 'code[*]';

	return $init;
}

// Modify Tiny_MCE init
add_filter('tiny_mce_before_init', 'customformatTinyMCE' );
