Hi Tresero,

I agree that it's important to move wp-config outside the document root. Could you please point me to where you changed the plug-in code to hardcode the wp-config file location??

Ideally, the plug-in would use the same function WordPress uses to find its wp-config. That would be cool. I looked at the function reference to see if there was a function for this, but couldn't find one. I wonder how the other plug-ins do it?

Thanks a lot,

Hey there,
I know it might not be completely related to the plugin version of the CKEditor, but at least I couldn't find anything really helpful on the plugin version and that matter....
CKEditor seems as the only alternative to TinyMCE which messes up code like nothing on my side (and either adds up empty spacer-ps at the end of my pages/posts or deletes every empty line I try to put in pages/posts). However, I am stuck in finding a way to use my style.css for my theme in CKEditor, so that I a) have a drop-down list of my styles and b) see them applied in the editor window. Tried several shortcodes etc. but am stuck at nothing appearing....
Anyone able to help? Any help appreciated :) ....

You have a hard coded path to wp_config and if you move your wp_config outside of the html directory, the plugin will fail.

This is a pretty serious security issue. I fixed mine by changing hardcoding, but there is probably a better solution. No other plugins I have installed use this convention.

I like the overall functionality of this editor, but haven't been able to set it up to work with images; it does not see the hundreds I already have on the server so to use it, I have to manually upload and code the path.

Also, uninstalled the plugin and the built in WP editor no longer has a choice of html or wsiwyg; probem!

the new version (2.5.0) of fckeditor for wordpress has resolved this issue.

...Except that the even newer version 2.6.4 causes the problem again.
Sadly, I had to disable it in order to insert my images.

Is this still the situation you guys are having?

I think I'll just forget it and use TinyMCE again. This is just not worth the trouble would you agree?

Just installed Dean's excellent fck editor for wordpress.
i can upload images using fck's own upload functions BUT wordpress's native 'media manaager' has stoppepd working.
the media manager panel shows correctly but a blank panel is returned when you click 'insert (image) into post'.
Is this a known bug, a config issue i can fix, or was this plugin never meant to support or integrate with media manager?
any help appreciated - Al Cain (XP Pro / FF v.3.0.1)
