I'd like to combine Enhanced Recent Posts with Enhanced Categories so that I have collapsible lists of recent posts organized in categories. (so I actually want to replace the subcategories with posts from the parent category in "Enhanced Categories" plugin...)

Is this achievable using your plugins?
what do i need to do?

Thank you.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/enhanced-recent-posts/

oh, one more thing: if you could provide .pot files for your plugins I would gladly translate them in Romanian...

Nice plugin. I'm using it on one site and may expand its usage to my other sites.

One thing I found that could be improved. I started using this on a test site which I then moved to a different URL (e.g. moved from http://internaltest/ to http://internal/). A number of things were broken with this plugin because it embeds the URL in a couple of its options in the
wp_options
table. It would make managing sites a lot easier if it would pull the initial part of the URL from the
siteurl
or
home
option instead.

Thanks for a good plugin. Keep up the good work.

Line 237 in wp-includes/category-template.php has an example of building a link.

Might also consider this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/tags/enhanced-categories

Also note wp_list_cats is replaced by template tag, wp_list_categories().

Just one last thing - how can I make an actual link to each category? Because using the code given above the categories are just text. I'd like each category name to be linked with a page containing all the posts from that category.

hi guys

gotta problem. I'm trying to cancel
<ul>
from listing category names. right now there's this line in my template:

<?php wp_list_cats('sort_column=name&optioncount=1'); ?>

this one lists categories in a vertical list. I want the names to be shown in a horizontal line, seperated by spaces or slashes.

I read the Codex, found
the_category(' ')
, which should solve my problem (and show the categories just as I want them), but somehow it shows only one category name... And it's always the last category.

Any ideas?

The plugin author, Vincent P. pointed out the fix:

...your problem is not the styling of the list items but of the links inside the list item. It looks like they have a background image set to imitate the list item style.

See style.css:

#sidebar .enhanced-categories-1 a {
background:none;
}

 // Supress the liststyleimage
jQuery('li', this)

you are using a plugin that is not compatible with your wordpress version. Please deactivate that plugin (enhanced categories) and this error should go away.

Another thing you could do is to visit the plugins homepage and check for a version that is compatible with your wordpress version.
