Wemasters have to install plugins for both posts and comments notifications and the respective plugins are various and complicated for users. </p> <p>In user profile page<br /> Checkboxes for:</p> <p>NOTIFY ME:<br /> - when my comments are approved<br /> - if any of my comments are replied to<br /> - of all new comments on the site<br /> - if new posts are published on the site</p> <p>EMAIL ME:<br /> - title and excerpts<br /> - complete texts<br /> - notifications indefinitely<br /> - notifications for xxx days (input)</p> <p><a href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/email-alerts/" rel="nofollow">http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/email-alerts/</a> </p>
