So, wordpress auto enclosure adds an id and filetype info on two new lines per enclosure right?

http://flv.yoursite.com/22/vid_169e99951a504b4fa1cf0049acdac183.flv
65795075
video/x-flv

The plugin regard that whole bit as a link, so:
http://flv.yoursite.com/22/vid_169e99951a504b4fa1cf0049acdac183.flv65795075video/x-flv

I tried going into the database to make some spaces(' ') after the first .flv, but with no luck, since it still regarded the whole bit as a link, not just the link itself.

So i was wondering if there's a way to only check the main link in the enclosure field without the extra info in it which renders it broken?

if it could be done automatically by domain that would be better.. Some of these redirections don't go to the new link but to a homepage or they 301 to a 404 page because they're improperly configured.

Thanks Shayne. The plugin version 3.7beta4 fixed the problem on both the dev site, which is running Wordpress v.2.8.1-RC1 and the production site which is running v.2.8.

Thanks stastic. I went with a different solution for other reasons.

I do have another client who is using WP Ecommerce and his drag & drop doesn't work either, but he is also not using any widgets, so it doesn't matter as much. He only has one downloadable product, and all proceeds are going to charity. I could try putting that site on the beta version and see what happens, but he has a charity event coming up in 2 weeks and I'm a bit hesitant to upset the proverbial apple cart before the event.

WP Shopping Cart by Instinct Entertainment causes the drag 'n' drop of widgets to stop working. I tried activating & deactivating it several times and it happened every time.

Broken Link Checker by Janis Elsts cannot be deleted from the Plugins page (after you click delete you get a blank browser window, regardless of whether you are doing a bulk or individual delete).

I am also having this problem of erroneous broken links. What's strange is that a couple months ago I was cleaning them up after a major theme change and got them down from around 400 broken links to just a couple hundred. Then I got them down to just 17. Over the next few days, the number of shown broken links moved up and I am now at 144 and it wants to stay there.

Out of the first 20, only 3 are actually broken. The rest go right to the link when you click on the shown URL. I've tried editing the URL but that doesn't seem to do anything long term, although it will seemingly fix it occasionally and my count will go down for a few hours or days.

Anyone know what's going on here?

I've noticed consistent false positives on certain redirect links, and I think I've finally isolated the cause. The links in question are returning a URL with an in-page anchor at the end, of the form http://example.com/page1#section1, and the anchor is not being removed before checking the new location. So it sends the whole thing, asking the server for a file named "/page1#section1", which doesn't exist, generating a 404 error.

An example: http://tr.im/avgi

Hi. I love this plugin but after moving my site to a new server I am getting a lot of erroneous broken links. In fact, it seems like all links in my pages are now saying that tey are broken even though they not.

I've tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin. Any idea what's going on here?

Upon changing my Wordpress install from running on PHP4 to PHP5, the Broken Link Checker plug in messes up the admin page. It starts to load actual pages from the blog at the bottom of the page, and the Broken Link Checker bit of the dashboard looks like an embedded web page.

Does anybody know how this can be fixed? I need to run PHP5 for the benefit of another plugin which I want to keep running.

I was having "500 Server Error" messages for a while and was even kicked off my host this week for excessive CPU usage. When my host let me back up for 24 hours to fix the problem, I found that the Broken Link Checker plugin was the culprit on all my sites. Clearing the database tables for the plugin helped temporarily.

To show what a difference the plugin makes, here's the CPU usage before turning it on:
34 queries. 1.224 seconds.

And after turning it on:
44 queries. 30.251 seconds

Hi,

The broken link checker is saying url's like (https://launchpad.net/~mudlet-makers) are invalid because the http code is 0. But they work fine in my browser.

Is there something I need to do to fix it?
