I am using the Black-Letterhead theme for my blog, found at http://www.ilovehorror.net. Basically, I'd like to know how to do the following:

1. I'd like to increase the dimensions of the overall content portion of the theme. For example, the black against the grey would be expanded to be wider.

2. If (1) is achievable, I'd like the placement of the text to remain the same (still justified on the far left) and increase the size of the right sidebar.

3. If THOSE are all feasible, is there a widget, or a plugin, or a CSS code that would allow certain sections of the sidebar to be updated with the most recent posts associated with certain tags.

I'm aware this is a lot of requests, and all I really need is to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks so much in advance.

Did you ever resolve your problem with the black-letterhead theme? I am going through the same problem that you are. I wish I could just transfer all the information over from the wordpress.com site, and bring it into the wordpress.org site exactly the way it is. Is this possible?
Can you send me any advice? chrisopel@yahoo.com
Thank you kindly,

Hello there,

I'm new to the world of wordpress, and trying to get settled in.

I am currently setting up http://www.32elvismovies.com. I had loaded a web-based wp site at http://32elvismovies.wordpress.com using the black-letterhead theme. Now my problem is that I want the hosted version to look like the web-based version. I've taken the css code from the webbased and put it onto the hosted version, and it still doesn't look the same.

I also want the header image aligned with the header margins. No idea how to fix that.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

It's probably the rotate.php file that you are using to rotate the header images, but since you have only one header image, you can just change

http://www.franklyfancy.com/wp-content/themes/blackletterhead/rotate.php
in the header.php file of your theme to

http://www.franklyfancy.com/wp-content/themes/blackletterhead/images/header.jpg

Here is my site:

http://www.franklyfancy.com

In both Safari and Firefox, when I go to the site (often), the header image won't appear. When I reload once (or a few times), then the header image appears.

Any ideas what might be the problem?

I have the Black-Letterhead 1.4 theme installed, and it takes my header from a single file in an "images" directory. There is a toolkit that offers the option to do this, and it is selected. I'm out of ideas for why this might happen

For Default/Kubrick Theme, this works:

From: http://codex.wordpress.org/Designing_Headers

You can use the method offered by the Theme's author to make the entire WordPress Default/Kubrick Theme header clickable:

    * Open header.php template file.
* Change from <div id="header"> to:

<div id="header" onclick="location.href='http://siteaddress/';" style="cursor: pointer;">

Yep. I couldn't be very specific since I don't know what your theme's header.php looks like, but that's typically the theme file you need to edit for this sort of thing.

You open up your theme's header.php in a text editor (like Notepad, NOT MS Word), you edit the HTML, then you save the file and upload via FTP.

Or you switch to a theme that links the header...

Hi,

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Using the Black Letterhead, I've modified the CSS. The only problem is that when people comment, they have to push the back button 3 times in order to get back to the main blog page.

I've checked through forums and saw that the way to get a clickable header is to modify the PHP.

I don't see a PHP modification option in my admin panel.

Can someone direct me to where I need to go to update the PHP in order to make my header clickable?

Thanks.

The way I was doing it (with another theme) was to have the main div assigned a certain width, say 450px, with auto left and right margins. Then float sidebar1 to the left and sidebar2 to the right, and assign a certain width to them as well, say 100px. Then assign the containing div a width of something like 700px.

Hello,

I've been trying to switch my blog to a three-column format, based on black-letterhead. I've been trying for a few days but failed miserably :( Can anyone help? I've seen some sample three-column modifications to letterhead and blackletterhead but they were all MAIN-SIDEBAR1-SIDEBAR2 format. I want to have a SIDEBAR1-MAIN-SIDEBAR2 format. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
