Hey there, I run a site that has over 400 authors. This plugin worked perfectly for me in the past but since I've added new users, the memory consumption of the plugin has become an issue.
I figured it can easily be fixed by adding a pagination system. I looked through a few posts in the forum and there seemed to be someone with the same issue 2 years ago, but it couldn't be solved. I was wondering if anyone had come up with a pagination solution.

Hi there,

I run a website and use this plugin to display user pictures. It works great on all platforms, except for IE 7 and 8. The pictures look all distorted and are just as wide as the user name underneath the photo. Is there a fix for this? I don't know anything about coding, but I can copy-paste some corrections or additions if necessary. For an example, please see this link. Looking forward to your reaction,thanks in advance!

add this ccs to the page

.author-list div {
display: block;
float: left;
height: 61px;
text-align: center;
width: 50px;
}

and adjust the height and width as you need to

You may not want the "text-align: center"

I'm temporarily using another plugin at the moment.. until i can get yours figured out... it's far less superior.. (i'm being nice about their plugin)

i set it up temporarily on another test site to play with it... and i did what you said.. i made all the avatars 40 x40 and im testing it out with 4 authors... to no avail

The problem that have is that we assumed that all the avtars are the same size whaich yours are not.

My advice to change the images to that there are all square and the same size as this will imporove look of the section and this will fix the problem for you

Just added this widget... love the easy sorting options and the thumbnail resizing option. Wonderful.

Only issue is... I can't get it to display even decently. I've tried the CSS tricks you mentioned in other threads... nothing seems to work. changed the line height.. that didn't do it either...

could you take a look at it?

If there are 7 users, it can show all user avatar list.
But if there are more than 8 users, it doesn't work!

No we don't have a filter for the Category.
I may look at the code to see if I can add something of the holiday
Do what to just author who have post in a certian category?
or
do you want to see all authors but sort them be te post count in a set category?

I currently have an Authors page where the avatars are shown on the left and the name should correspond on the right, but it does not. How do I change this? http://www.jnslp.com/authors/

The code for the list layout is currently: [authoravatars roles=author show_name=true render_as_list=true order=last_name]

Actually, I was able to accomplish it with a link in the text widget and by creating a page with all the authors using short codes. Thanks for the great documentation.

Hi Paul: Obviously you've been busy with the update. However, I'm still interested in this being an added feature. Seems that if one were to limit the number of author avatars shown, there should be something that either links to the full list, or at least advises that there are more, no?

I have tried the suggestions on the forum and nothing makes a difference. Tried figuring it out myself and that didn't work either. I can't seem to find out what is in the code to cause it to be vertical. Is it a set width? Is it a soft break after the thumbnail? I do know css and understand php, but this is mystifying me. Help! I want the thumbnails to be horizontal with no space between them.

Please add a feature allowing a visitor to click on a link to see the full list of author avatars when the widget is set to display a limited number of authors. E.g., a "See More Authors" link, perhaps displayed as a drop-down slider. Thank you.

Hi, I've been trying to figure this out for hours. How do I edit the CSS for the biography? Right now it aligns to the center, I'd like to have it align left next to the image and maybe have a divider below if possible.

This is so that i can create a community map of peoples avatars linking to there profiles..

show_avatar just shows the image for the email and this might not be an user in the blog.

I suppect that you will be alble to do what you want with the authoravatrs (use the control in the page editor to play with the options]
