Blubrry PowerPress podcasting plugin now includes the same flash 1 Pixel Out player found in WP-Audio player. Integrating the player into the plugin makes it easier for users to control how the podcast appears along with the download and play in new window links.

To use the 1 Pixel Out player in PowerPress, go to PowerPress Settings > Advanced Options section and enable 'Audio Player Options'. Once saved, you should see a new 'Audio Players' section under the PowerPress menu on the left. This is where you can select and configure the 5 flash players packaged with PowerPress.

I was also having an the same trouble.

Player shows up okay, but I always got a file not found error when I tried to play anything.

It turns out there is a conflict between at least these versions of
wp-audioplayer 2.0b6 and
podcasting.2.3

As soon as I removed podcasting 2.3 the files started playing as expected.

Hi

I am using the audio player plugin on a website that provides 'talking newspapers' in mp3 format for blind people.

Unfortunately because the audio player is not very accessible, I have hacked the plugin so it also provides a direct link to each file so visitors can save it and play it in their usual mp3 player.

Can you tell me if you have any plans to improve the accessibility of the player? For example, people tell me they cannot access the 'pause' button when a file is playing.

If you need more information, I will be happy to ask the users for their feedback.

Thanks!

@bluesofa
I was having the same issue but since I don't use the player inside
wordpress I didn't post. I did find the solution to 'my' issue
maybe it will help you.

I wrote a script to stream a 30 second 'demo' from the original file.

I found that once I set the content-length header IE works fine.

Check your headers and make sure they look something like this:

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Tue, 26 May 2009 13:57:09 GMT
Server: Apache/2.2.8 (EL)
Last-Modified: Tue, 26 May 2009 13:57:08 GMT
ETag: "35b0b4-3b000-46ad11a40b500"
Accept-Ranges: bytes
Content-Length: 241664
Connection: close
Content-Type: audio/mpeg

I found that the only thing that caused the issue was the Content-Length. I even played around with the Content-Type, changing it
to application/octet-stream and it worked.

I'm using SermonBrowser which requires audio-player to play the soundtracks online.

We have just come across a problem. Audio player looks for file and can't find it. Download link however works. We switched to a new server a week or so ago, and I'm not sure what has caused this or when it occured. When I disable audio player the download icon that appears works correctly so am I right in thinking it is a problem with audio player? I've just deleted audio player and did a fresh install of it. No luck.

I note in audio players installation instructions it mentions WordPress 2.5. Is it compatible with the latest version? Or is the problem Sermon Browser? Anyone got any ideas?

For the meantime, I'll deactivate audio player again.
http://hpcc.hornby.org.nz/sermons

I meant to also say that I uploaded a MP3 to a page outside of SermonBrowser, and ticked the box in audio player settings that says replace mp3 links with a player, and it worked fine. I am so confused as to the problem because sometimes it looks like sermonbrowswer and sometimes audio player.

I have been through the scripting for SermonBrowser where the player appears and I don't see any problems.

player works fine inside the website with a post (awesome btw), but on the front page with the post i get the same message as everyone else

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Any ideas on the cure. Why just on the front page and not inside the website with the post?

Running: wp 2.7.1 and just downloaded most recent Version 2.0 beta 6
browser: firefox 3 and even ie, havent used safari

Thanks for any help!
