That will be hard to meet that requirement. You might want to rethink that.

Otherwise consider plugins such as:

I would like to make posts which make up an agenda (by category 'agenda'). It can be that I add a post on day "a", for an event on day "m". And the next day ("b") I maybe want to add an event for day "g". The posts will be ordered "a, b", but that means that the order of the events will be day "m" and then "g". And what if I want to add an event the next day ("c") which will take place on day "k"? The order of the posts will be a, b, c, but the order of the events will be "m, g, k"
So I'm looking for a way to add the event date to a post and make WordPress use THAT date to order my events. And without having to edit any of my templates.

I've got the same error when activating the plugin.

The first error was caused by the 'static', when you replace it with 'var' it works but there are more errors. I managed to get rid of the errors, but now nothing is displayed at Write, Manage and Settings. So the plugin still doesn't work for my.

Hope you'll soon fix these problems, I think it will be a great plugin, but I haven't managed to get it to work yet.

I would like to use the agenda plugin, however my hosting service has not upgraded to PHP 5 .

I would also suggest that the where box be broken down to require the following fields:
Place Name
Street Address,
City
State or province
Postal Code
Phone number
Email
Web site.
Gathering this type of information would facilitate Google and/or Yahoo Maps.

Have been busy with other things the last couple of days but yeah, I noticed that DGMike has introduced new features in v1.5 including a widget.

So I will take a look tonight on what it includes now and see if I can make so progress on tackling mentioned issues/features as well.

So basically - to be continued...

BTW - Did someone already notice that when you (re-)edit your agenda item all available tags are inserted to the agenda item! So let's call that a bug as well ;)

I installed and activated the new calendar of events plugin Agenda on my test server running 2.5.1.

I clicked to add an event and got the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_thickbox() in /home/dotpublishinginc.com/www/htdocs/OCT/wp-content/plugins/agenda/agenda.php on line 151

Any thoughts? The plugin is said to be compatible with 2.5 and above, so it should not be an issue of upgrading to the latest version of WP.

I agree with all of the above and would add this feature request:

A publicly-usable form so readers may submit events for the agenda as well. Their submissions should be able to be held in draft form for review, or, if the reader is a registered user, the admin should have the choice to allow registered (read: trusted) readers to post without review.

This is the closest a plugin has come so far to a solid calendar of events plugin -- it's a shame it's taken so long. Congrats to the author on a good start.

Very promising plugin but after reviewing the plugin I have some remarks (R), feature requests (F), and some bugs (B) to report.

Features:
1 - Ship a widget with it. See my Agenda Widget.
2 - Show today's and all day event's until their end time.
3 - Remove time notification when it's a all day event.
4 - Change $title_tag into to the $before and $after model for more template flexibility.
5 - Localization by translation domain. Change __('text') into __('text', 'agenda'). Have also used that in the plugin I have created.
6 - Ship a .pot with it for translators. I will translate into Dutch when available.

Bugs:
1 - When repeating on a daily basis the start time changes (looks like the function add (for example) 24 hours to the end time instead of the start time). )
2 - Visual editor isn't working.
3 - Time droplists are out of sync with the input boxes (further to the right).
4 - When using agenda_compromissos() the 'a href' tag isn't populated.
5 - Add 'no events' message when there are no events to show, I'm now getting an error message.
6 - Styling doesn't fit in the (smaller) crazyhorse design of 2.7 and perhaps it's an idea to stick with the WP colors for the background.

Remarks:
The 'Event' page should not be registered as a menu item when you use 2.7 as the structure of the menu's has changed. The Add New link on the Events page will follow the style WP is using on the Posts and Pages pages.

Questions:
1 - How can you get the location and date(s)/time(s) visible in the post?

BTW - At the moment I'm using WP 2.7 r8736 and Firefox 3.0.1.

It's a great plugin but I can't use it because I want to be able to allow my non-technical registered users to upload calendar events.

Please read my forum post for more information.

I hope they or somebody else (also mailed EventCalendar) will make a future version or plugin that makes the above possible.

I've should have noted the Wordpress Event Calendar plugin. Although it's a great plugin I do not want to allow all my users to write post. So the agenda or event calendar should be a stand alone feature in the admin panel.

I am trying to build community blogs with Wordpress. One of the features that would be very nice is a Wordpress Agenda plugin that would enable my users to update events and place them on a shared agenda, without leaving the Wordpress weblog.

It’s a simple idea

A registered user or a user with a certain level or role, should have a tab in the admin section which says Agenda. At that location he can upload an event on a specific date, select the events category and add some text and links maybe an image (e.g. automatically resized to avatar size 80 px x 80 px). In the end he post it onto the front-page where it shows up in the weblog agenda.

Visitors of the website can browse though the agenda by date and category. Registered users see a link where they can add a agenda event themselves. There should be a distinction between old agenda events and events on future dates.

Very nice adds would be if visitors can e-mail an event to a friend, registered can notify other users that they will attend this event (like you can do at upcoming), visitors and users can comment on an event, everybody can social bookmark the event (e.g. on digg, delicious). An other nice feature would be a sidebar widget which shows today’s and upcoming events placed on the weblog’s agenda page.

My question

I’ve found a plugin that does some of the above, it’s Robert Gaal’s WoogleCal plugin. But the plugin is using Google. It’s a nice and simple plugin but it does not allow registered users to share an event calendar / agenda on the weblog without leaving the site. Therefore it complicates the use of the agenda and in the end many users find it to much of a hassle to use. In short it is not suitable or intended for community use

Does anyone know if a plugin like the above already exist for Wordpress?

If somebody is willing to build a plugin please contact me, I will certainly test it and donate a humble amount of my bursary. Unfortunately my php skills are not good enough to build a stable plugin myself.

EventCalendar3 is good. I haven't tried any other, though.

Alex Tingle's EC3 will do the trick... you may wish to wait a few days for the latest version to become official, however. It has some snazzy new features!

I'm running WP 2.0.5 and wanting to install a plugin for a event calendar. I'm looking for some opinions as to which most of you think is the best event calendar plugin available.

Thanks in advance..
