Thanks Bernard. I over wrote wp_terms, wp_term_relationships and wp_term_taxonomy tables and everything is back to normal. Thanks again

Do you still have access to your other database? Backup it up again, there may have been a problem with the original backup. Or, look through your imported database to see if that content may actually exist somewhere buy just isn't showing up for some reason. Chances are that your categories are gone, though.

Don't be surprized!
You did it to yourself - with all the bumping.

Helpers go first to the unanswered queue to find topics without a reply. With your mindless bumpings you removed your post from there, now it seems as a topic with 4 replies and nobody bothers to take a look at it.

Just to let you know, the wordpress version in previous host was 2.6 and when i moved it to new host it was 2.6.1

PS: i don't think version change is an issue here

Hi there,
I recently moved my wordpress blog to a new host and was able to get it up and running. All the posts were imported, but the categories and tags mapping was lost. I have no idea what went wrong or what I missed.

Please let me know how I can get the categories and tags back along with their mappings to the individual posts). I do have the database backup of the old blog (previous host).

Regards,
raju
